Hello friends on the Scubaboard!
I'm looking for a PADI Course Director for my IDC within a 6 hr flight from NYC. My options are somewhat limited because I am only available to complete the course during the month of December. I'll have the entire month available for this though.
Having done way too much research, I'm starting to zero in on the Pacific side of Mexico where I know there's probably a bit more to see underwater than in the Caribbean. I've been steering away from Florida due to the massive coral bleaching events happening there, plus I think it would be nice to get away from the US for this.

I would have loved to take the course with Victoria and Ivana from infinity2diving (in Tulum) but they would only be teaching in Curacao in Dec and it's not certain if it'll happen due to ongoing renovations. Buddy Dive runs a new all-inclusive IDC program at the resort but the options for extending my stay to get additional certs under my belt might be limited and overall the living costs there would be higher. Don't think Hawaii runs any IDCs in December; probably for a good reason that I am unaware of.
I would appreciate any recommendations for other amazing Course Directors in the vicinity I may have missed so that I could check their availability for December before I commit to anything. I know Utila and Roatan come highly recommended, but I think that the underwater environment there will fall very flat considering that I've done most of my diving in SE Asia.
