I finished the video, and posted it at http://thedecostop.com/matt/. I thought those of you interested in this thread might like it.
Enjoy!

Nicely done Matt. It was a pleasure to watch a video that was not dominated by someone's idea of a cool soundtrack; the music you chose was gentle and in the background. Nice captions as well.

I'm glad you enjoyed it. The music was by the late Michael Hedges.

Thank you for posting the video! I was very curious about ice diving and all the work that goes into making sure everyone has a safe and fun dive. I hope to try this one day. As a new diver I will need to improve before attempting a dive of this type. Once again thank you for sharing.

Excellent job Matt.

Thanks

Paul

Great job Matt. I have high hopes for next winter, wherever it means going!

Spectrum, come up to Canada, we had a very solid 8 inches of ice at the quarry we were in. Bit of a drive for a 20 minute dive tho lol.

Great video (and pictures) Matt! I might have to try it next year. Hard to get psyched up for it when there are still diveable spots in the ocean, but it really looks like fun.

Looks like we had some posts trimmed. I was sort of looking forward to the way the discussion was going last time I looked at it on friday. If anyone knows what got it trimmed, please send me a pm about it.

I have to say you strike on the one problem with ice diving, at least around here .....

I am very motivated to dive under ice. Next year, all things willing I will be where I need to be to experience it.

The down side though is that it will probably be a "been there done that, got the Tee shirt" experience. I am not aware of any groups doing it any place nearby that would afford the chance to do it with any frequency. Still, I know doing it will be a blast. After seeing Matt's video and others I know this more than ever.
