Your Synflex hose has a rated working pressure of 250 psi, which is much higher than the pressure your 1st stage reg will feed to the 2nd stage. There is no reason to modify your regulators.

There are no compressors specifically designed for recreational diving. The critical factor is that they are all oil-less.Caution: Apparently, if you use a pump not specially designed for this application, you are asking for trouble. Here is a clip of the "Super Snorkel" that we use for fossiling. I have not used it yet but plan to this season. I have been told that, in shallow water, once you get use to it, you will be spoiled.
We run it for hours (until it runs out of gas). We then fill it up with gasoline and go for more hours.
