got light halcyon pro 4 hooked light up, nothing then a glow from bulb, then BOOM!! and a wonderfull sulfer smell filled my house. blew the testtube cover across the room. i think the ballast is fudged. but i dont know how to get it aprt to look at it. if it is anyone know where i can get another one?????? is it possible? or should i do what i want and smash it inot a millioni little pieces with a sledge hammer. and just be out $200 bucks? please help- on a side note im wriiting this right after the insident so as you can imagine im rather pissed.

didnt rewire it. just bought a new bat and switch, im thinking somhow the polarity got crossed. got it apart, the ballast is tosted and i think the bulb is to after the testube covering the light shot across my house. the testube is fine though so im after a ballast. happily the ballast has no markings on it whatsoever. so me beeing a electricle wholesaler is no help. i guess im off to a lighting store.
