After lots of great advice from everyone on this board, I bought an oxycheq 18lb wing and a Koplin travel backplate. I dive only in tropical waters and figured the 18lb wing would be fine for my requirements. I tried it out for the first time this weekend ...and I love it!
Great stability, great trim, air consumption seems to have improved (though I might be reaching a bit...). Most importantly, 18lb seems just fine. I was weighted at 2kgs in Dive-rite weight pockets and I had no problems at all. I am one happy camper!
