For brass about .36 per thousand, sometimes less.

I pay under .30 for steel

The steel is generally imported with poor quality control so is best for plinking, Tula is pretty much considered the worst, dirty and underpowered.

AR snobs say they will not use steel, and others will get stuck casings, this may indicate an undersized chamber.

I picked up a ton of RMF zinc coated steel which is good plinking ammo, Herter's steel works well for me.

AIM has Wolf Gold, brass 55 grain for 6.99 per 20 about .34 per round right now

Go to gunbot.com and create an account as well as wiki ammo the 'bots find what is out there
