Should have used Canadian coins. :D

Why, Canadian coins are probably worth more...

Uhm. Holy **** that's good shooting.

Like, really REALLLLLLLLLY good shooting. I wanna say that must be on par with Olympic-level shooting back when they still shot rimfire.

super human shooting

I couldn't duplicate it

Nice shooting, Tom.

Psssh, hardly superhuman. It was from a rest. If it was freehand.... that would be cool. That was the session I was sighting in the red dot using a sandbag  Like most of my tools, it's capabilities exceed mine. It does have the sweetest trigger of anything I've ever shot.

Love the grips on that Buckmark, can I ask where they came from and pricing? I have one and can get nowhere near a group like that, kudos to you from a rest or not.

If I remember correctly from a for sale thread here:

RimfireCentral.com - Rimfire Community!

I don't remember what I paid for them, maybe $35?

Two Canadians, oh my God, it's an ambush.:D
Two of them are Canadian.

Range Report...

Took a new shooter to the range today. He has a S&W .38 (don't remember model.) After some pre-range discussion about safety, operation, and site picture we headed to Governor's Gun Club. He shot most of a box, but didn't care to shoot any more (

) He did pretty well at 5 yards in single action mode.

Then my Kimber Custom Crimson Carry II came out. I put a few down range at 10 yards. Asked him if he'd like to try, but he declined. Oh well. I continued to put 100 flawless rounds down range. All but one were in the 9 ring or better. The bullseye area was gone but I continued, easing toward the edge to make the hole bigger. Lawdy, lawdy, I love shooting that gun. So smooth and fits perfectly in my hands. So, now she has 450 rounds down the pipe. Was going to shoot another 100 but my guest looked bored.

The club had just received three Compact Carry models. They are pretty but I don't like the way the butt of the grip hits the heel of my palm. Just didn't feel comfortable. They had a Stainless Gold Combat ($2K) in the case. Oh, my did that thing feel wonderful. Oooooooo (slight shiver up my spine) They had several other models too, but I was already ruined. I did fondle an Ultra. It felt surprisingly nice in my hand. Acquisition of site picture seemed automatic. Really nice, but I don't think I'd buy an Ultra unless I had the chance to shoot a box first to see how the recoil felt.

They had also just gotten in three Kimber rifles, an 84L in .30-06, a 84M in .308 and a Tactical in .308. Lightest rifles I've ever held. Bolts looked like Mauser actions but smaller. They are pricey. The Tactical, with adjustable cheek weld and bi-pod was $2,500. The scope was a Vortex at $875, the scope rings for the 30mm tube were $130. Ouch.

I put my name and info on a list for when the Pro Raptor and/or Pro Eclipse came in. They are asking $1,100 for them. Now I'm like, please don't call me and force me to make a decision to buy or not buy.

All in all, it was an enjoyable day at the range.

Oh, almost forgot. They had AmeriGlo night sites. I'm not familiar with them, but it had Trijicon stamped on the ramp. Anyone familiar with them?
Green on green or green rear and amber front? Which would you choose?
