Gosh...I am slow...guess I am living up to my signature. It is so apprapos............hmmmmmmmm....guess I know myself too well. Lets just say...I had major surgery in Cabo 4 years ago and it was my own stupidity. Involved tequilla and glass table at a friends condo. That one was really ugly. Nough said.

Some people really need more oversight than others.

I am happy to report that Mary made it back to Cozumel for the get-together at La Hach and went roaming around the Fiesta de San Pedro y San Pablo. She is doing well and is in fine spirits.
She is luxuriating in the confines of Villa Aldora tonight and will head back to Playa manana.
She is still talking cenotes and Holbox, so she must be on the mend!

Not to make light of your accident, Alohagal, but isn't there a line in a Jimmy Buffett song that makes reference to a flip flop accident? I believe that the recommended cure did involve tequila. At least you're in the right place.

RUI...been there, done that, LOL!

She applied tequila and climbing on top of fences last night. Being awfully quiet this morning!
Trying to be quiet while I am getting ready to dive...Speaking of - I'd better get my :mooner: off SB and get sunscreened!
Happy bubbles, y'all.

I'm seeing a trend here. :shocked2:

Hello,

Wow, Pelagicsal's place at Villa Aldora is palatial. More like an apartment. Very nice. She really is a sweetheart of a person. Anyone who has the opportunity to hang out with her is lucky.

I am back over on Playa this morning. I walked by the Hacienda Real del Caribe. Great location. Beautiful rooms, gorgeous property. Rooms are normally $120 US and above. Right now They are $62 includes taxes and continental breakfast. They showed me a room. I am moving there manana.
I highly recommend Playa and the new hotel I am moving to.

The streets seem deserted compared to Saturday when I arrived. Not many tourists around right now. I went to La Tortuga...the reception person was very helpful...but when I inquired about the rates he gave the usual price, which is $120/night and up. They did have a room with its own swimming pool.

My current hotel is nice...but it is the same price as the Hacienda Real del Caribe...and the Caribe is much better IMHO.

Fingers are getting better everyday...still quite swollen and less painful. But, not my usual fingers for sure. Stitches still holding up.

BTW: I only had one Margarita last night, but we did have to scale a small concrete wall with iron grating and stand on top of it to see the dancers at the fiesta. What can I say.
My signature was intended to be a metaphor but I am living the literal journey.

Mary

So sorry to hear you hurt your hand so badly. I'm glad you were able to get away without major ongoing surgery.

Hope you heal real fast.

Mary, I'm so sorry you hurt yourself, but am glad it was easily treatable. Heal fast so you can get back to diving!!!

I've enjoyed your post the past week or so and I'm really glad to hear your doing better! I've been very lucky walking around the streets of Cozumel, many stumbles, but rarely a true fall (beware of plastic chairs that have be in the Caribbean sun too long..those to can be interesting :D ). We arrive this Saturday, staying at the Villa Aldora and looking forward to meeting and hanging out with Peligacsal and any other SB'ers who might be on the island. Take care and enjoy the journey!
