oh, thanks for the laughs. and thanks don for knowing when to chime in and when not. It is appreciated.
Well gang, I am feeling much better today. The whole story is I was walking with someone who had real shoes on and they were walking very fast. i was struggling to keep up and wham I was down fast. My finger was so bent out of shape people were looking away in horror...even me!
Today, I feel so much better. I can even use the caps key every now and then. I had a one hour massage here at my hotel in Playa. Hacienda Paradise. It only cost $30.00 I may have one everyday. I was able to get to the pharmacy last night and buy medical supplies to keep the stiches clean. Felt like I was going to faint on that small adventure. It was not pretty.
Yes, I have DAN but not the preferred. If you have to choose...go with the highest level. They have already contacted me...but since I am on the mend, won't need their services. My insurance back home will cover my expenses 100% so all is well in that regard. My hospital bill was $1050 US.
I am going to try and make the ferry to Cozumel tonight for the SB get together at La Hache.
Since I cannot swim or dive right now going to find a place for a pedicure. Rest of the week will do land tours.
You guys are funny and greatly appreciated.

You should feel pretty good that it was just your finger. My father recently fell in his backyard and broke his neck. He broke the two top vertebrae. They put him in a halo for 3 to 6 months. He went in at the end of May and is scheduled to go home from the hospital on July 8th. After 3 to 6 months, they will decide at that time whether he needs to have surgery. He is being told he won't be able to move his neck anymore (the jury is still out on that one). Sorry that you hurt your finger, but it could always be worse. Count your lucky stars.

Gosh...I am slow...guess I am living up to my signature. It is so apprapos............hmmmmmmmm....guess I know myself too well. Lets just say...I had major surgery in Cabo 4 years ago and it was my own stupidity. Involved tequilla and glass table at a friends condo. That one was really ugly. Nough said.

Jim, wow, I am counting them right now. That is so awful. Falls are one of the leading cause of hospitalizations in the US. And some of them are very, very ugly.
Hope your dad will do better than they expect.

Goodness, glad Leslie is okay. Love to hear other peoples war stories. Makes me feel less of a fool. But, what is R.U.I.? To many acronyms on scuba board.
