I teach scuba, decided to stick my left thump between the rear sprocket and chain of my fixed gear bike, did not loose the thumb but should have, can't teach scuba for 6-8wks. Don't do that.
I have a TIP for ya........

No, thanks. I'm surprised you could find the tip. I'm sure it wasn't in very good condition, so I understand if you don't want it back, but I have even less use for it.
I did that when I was 6 with my index finger... still have the finger but it never looked the same.
I have a tip, can I toss it out there? Never fry bacon naked. Words to live by IMO
