Got to check out the fossil this weekend. You are right, it is definitely a piece of a meg. I couldn't tell until I was able to really get a good look at it.

Hi guys, this is a weird shaped tooth. The curvature is not from being worn down, it doesn't feel like a shark tooth that has been worn down, it also doesn't have the grain. could it be the tip of some flat cephalopod?
