Yes, you read correctly. I just finished installing my a Dive Rite balanced p-valve, and nowhere in the instructions does it say how to properly use.

So, do you just simply "pee"....or is there any priming/and or valve opening involved?

you just pee. You may feel a bit of resistance, and if you do don't force it because that may mean the hose is kinked.

To reduce the chances of kinks priming is a good method. I recommend doing it while you're standing in shallow water. If you're not in the water it can just fall out.

Well, I don't just let it fly. I start slow and finish strong, if you know what I mean. :eyebrow: If possible, I prime mine before submerging. :palmtree: Bob

Ensure you use a condom catheter.... attach to plumbing... proceed with normal urinary functions

(Hey you never know.... I would feel really sorry for someone who tries to hook up without a catheter)

I recommend opening the valve before you start to pee. I close the valve when I am done so that I do not risk getting any backwash.
