On the Mexico vs fl thing: I personally find cave diving in mx easier and less stressful than Florida. Florida has flow and lots of silt. Mexico has complex navigation. Though personally I find the navigation in Mexico easy to follow and not confusing even in those few weird spots. But my first time in Mexico I got an excellent introduction with an excellent instructor
