Down on the docks:
Don't leave your stuff scattered all over the platform where people are trying to enter/exit. If you must leave things on the platform (I don't recommend the practice) leave them toward the back near the railing so they aren't in the way. If you're leaving lead on the dock due to weight checks have your name on it even if it's just on a piece of duct tape so you make sure to pick up the lead you brought down instead of accidentally picking up someone else's.
When you're underwater and you run across things that are tied to attractions (action figures, bags of washers, various other items) leave them alone. They are probably props for some instructor's class.
If you run across something that's most likely been lost underwater (dive computer, watch, weight pouch) take it to the office after asking anyone who is nearby if they've lost something. Sometimes you'll hear people lamenting they lost something, if you see it pick it up and bring it back. Sometimes laying it on the dock works for getting it back to it's owner but taking it to the office is your best bet.
