I add 4 (but have not been diving fresh water since my pool dives
The only way to tell, is get in the ocean, dive.
At the end of the dive, surface, and drain the tank to 300 psi.
Then, in *shallow* water, and *with a buddy* dump all gas from the BC and go down to 10 or 15 feet (do not add gas to the BC).
Remove weight from the belt until you can hover at 10 feet.
This should work for any recreational setup.
It's vital that you have a buddy with you as 300psi is not much gas and you need someone ready to help you if your reg starts breathing hard.
Also, what happened to the '130' tank I thought Ken had convinced you to get ?
