Anything from £420-£590 depending what package you go for. All packages include hire kit, gas fills, books, fees, dive site entry, and a yearlong membership to the quarry. One package includes drysuit spec, and the most expensive package includes drysuit spec+ and personal gear purchase (fins, mask, snorkel)

395.00 for semi private (no more than 4 students) , 550.00 for one on one. Includes materials, classroom, pool (7-8) sessions of each. OW dives locally. Gear rental for weekend including tanks is an additional 75. Student provides personal gear from wherever they choose for ow dives. Most buy it. They can also use scuba gear from anywhere as long as its safe. If they want to do dives other than local site with me they pay my expenses. Like the guy who flew me down to Puerto Rico for a weekend to do his since he was there on business.

My LDS offers a group SDI OW course for $400. That includes:Access code for online course work,, Air fills, Scuba equipment for pool sessions,Full rental equipment for check out dives, Tanks, and Weights, Registration fees, Internationally Recognized SDI Certification Card. All students in the Open Water Class need to provide their own mask, snorkel, fins, boots and a log book. They sell these at a discount. All in all, a pretty good deal.

Oslo, Norway $730 For the entire course. Includes gear with a drysuit. Materials and stuff. Max 4 students pr class
You need mask, fins and snorkle. Includes 6 ow dives for the course and the use of the equipment for unlimited diving for 14 days after cert. (Norwegian regulations says you have to do 6 dives to be certified.)

The school I learned with charges £375 (approx $570 US). This includes all materials, all equipment hire (including drysuit), site entry fees and air fills. They are purely a dive school - they do not sell any kit whatsoever.

Class and pool $329
check out dives $125 (includes equipment)
$50 credit if mask, fins, boots, and snorkel are also purchased.

Does the $329 include the Crew Pack?

We charge the same regardless how many students are in the class and regardless how long it takes. When you sign up for the Open Water Course, you decide whether you want PADI, PDIC, SEI, or CMAS. The only requirements we have are, you must have your own Mask, Fins, and Snorkel, (You can pre-own, borrow, rent, or buy, and if you choose to buy then you can buy from anywhere, you don't have to buy from us). If we have a wet suit in stock that is sufficient for the water temperature at that given time, then we supply it at no extra cost. Our Open Water classes include all training material, all pool fees, all gear except mask, fins, and snorkel, and free check out dives, providing that they are completed in our local lake. If a student decides to bring a friend, for each friend that signs up for the course, the first student will get 10% discount on their class. After they have 10 friends sign up with them, the first student's class is free. Most choose to distribute the 10% over all 10 friends. As of right now, our current Open Water Course is $349.99.

With all this being said, this is not for a certification. This is for the training. Students have to earn the certification. We don't put a price on that, the student decides how much they want to invest into earning the certification (no money transfer of course, they get out of diving what they put into diving).
