My final tally was 102 dives (down from 204 in 2018) across 6 different sites, all in Sydney, Australia. The diving is so good here I don't mind diving the same sites week after week.
I had dived every single weekend for over 6 years until early June when I was not well enough to drive to a dive site let alone dive. I ended up missing 11 weekends all up until I was fully back, with a stint of 7 weeks of not diving. That stint was horrendous.
My average dive time was 100 minutes with my longest dive at 146 minutes. I spent just over 7 days underwater.
As I mentioned above, Sydney diving is so good. I see anglerfishes (frogfishes) on almost every dive and my record was 9 Red-fingered Anglerfish on one dive. I also see seahorses, Weedy Seadragons, pygmy pipehorses (often more than 20 on a dive), various species of pipefishes, some cool nudibranch, as well as sharks and rays; cephalopods (including pyjama squid, blue-lined octopus, cuttlefish), and so much more.
