How high in elevation is it safe to drive after diving?

The conservative crowd will say no. I have dived and gone up the same pass, and knock on wood, not gotten the bend yet.

Dive as high of a nitrox mix as possible and don't push the bottom time. Roll your dice and take your chances.
 
Personally, I prefer to be cautious. I've dived for 50 years without getting bent and intend to dive another 50 with the same result (what an optimist).

We had a local instructor here on Catalina do a series of routine training dives, then drive to a maximum elevation of 1,600 feet to see her BF and got bent.

Remember each of us are different in our physiological response.
