I travel 2 to 3 hours one way to go for a dive... :11: Worst part is I dont have a car so its public transport all the way!
But I reckon its worth every minute! :D

It is between two and two and a half hours to many of the shore diving sites in the Puget Sound. Put a little snow on the mountains in the winter and it can get a bit longer...

Usually in the 2 hour range, but I have sites as close as 35min and I've been known to drive 7 hours :D

6 -30 minutes depending on where I yhink the bugs are. Doesn't count the 14 hour baot trip to Catalina in September.

I drive 35 minutes to dive but for real good diving I have to drive 22 hours straight. :D I love the warm waters of Florida.

Lets see. I have 300 dives logged. I drive at least 4 hours to get there and another 4 back. My car gets about 20 mpg. How much money is that?

2 hours to 5 feet of viz with a max depth of 20 feet - small manmade lake - same day trip.

3 hours with the same viz but more depth - larger manmade lake - usually same day trip, sometimes overnight.

6 hours to 25-30 feet viz in 3 different directions - San Carlos, Mx; San Diego; Lake Mohave - at least a 2 night stay.

33 hours next month to cave country for a couple of weeks - gotta bring too much stuff to making flying feasible.

There is a small manmade lake about 10 minutes away, but viz is zero and water is nasty. Also no swimming/diving allowed. I've been in it with S&R a few times.

2 to 3 hours!!
I want my own quarry. Perhaps I should move closer to warm salt water.. There's a thought!

I'm pretty lucky. Within an hour and a half, I have a large freshwater quary and the Atlantic. :D
