Another vote for the bio filter. The idea of a metal reg, or the sherwood oasis is that the metal reg, or vanes, will form condensation that you get back on the next inhale. And yes, they add a bit - but to get a lot of moisture, adding water to a sponge that slowly disperses the moisture into the breathing line is really a phenomenal difference.

couldn't agree more. I've tried the bio filter on an apeks and owned two different mares metal regs. while the metal regs are an improvement over conventional ones, the bio filter beats them hands down. it costs $$$ (like everything else in this hobby), but you don't have to buy another reg...

My advice is drink more water and use less air.

Drink more water for sure, and for lots of reasons, but I'm going to have to object to the use less air, advice. The only thing I see coming out of that is a splitting CO2 headache.

I'm not trying to be controvercial, or a PITA :) but after focusing on breathing lots of air while I'm at depth, not holding my breath while stalking fish, etc., I've all but eliminated any headaches. Last time out I did three dives at 100 feet, and I felt like a million bucks! Not even the slightest head ache.

Just my 2 cents.
