(fake) Converse boots.
I have 3 pair, $45 AU for the first pair, $25 AU on special at Target for the other 2 pair, laced as above, every other eye.
Also wider than the Converse, I am not a fan of narrow boots, even the so called wide versions of them, I have tried expensive boots, but come back to these almost barefoot boots and shoes [which I wear when I have to wear footwear at all].

Why should I ? Those are for diving at home.
Good. It's a huge pet peave of mine. People wearing lace up boots through security. Crocks people. Crocks.

Nothing says “pogue” like zippered inserts on combat boots.

IYKYK.

Skip eyelets. Use bungee and a low profile cord lock.

Next problem.

Sorry, but I must admit that one is lost on me. There's obviously a jest or a reference I'm missing. Please, no heckling nor hazing, English isn't my native dialect.

While the risk is very low, I despise sandles or other slip on shoes for flying, as they are not secure enough incase of evacuation of the plane.

Lace up shoes for me every time on a plane. If I’m in your way at security feel free to walk past me as I remove my shoes.

That's actually a good point. But I still fume if I'm behind a goth in the security line.

my (fake) Converse boots.
Bought an extra pair in black yesterday at Target for $9 AU , they are ditching the lot, the young folk are not wearing them.
Suits me, cheep rock boots [for where I dive now] , if I was going back to my old 'stomping grounds and colder water' [not a chance now] I would look at something more solid, and warmer.

Not just the Gothic kids but the Elmer Fudds, too.
