How do you ID your gear?

I'm sure this has been talked about many times.But how do you tag your gear? I was thinking about using a dog tag with name and add. phone# e mail.

I use a paint pen and put my initials on it. I think that most divers are honest and will make an attempt to return gear, especially if it has some ID on it.

I also use a paint pen. . . Just put my last name on it. . . Items like fins are easy. . . BC or wetsuit takes some time. . .

Sharpie pens...they're gd.

On my wetsuits, boots and fins I use marker pen, I have to keep on rewriting on my fins, but the rest are good.

As to bcd, dive bag etc, I had little plastic dog tags make, just [Name] and [Telephone] in white and red

never been anywhere were it was a problem. Do have stuff marked with a white waterproof maker and tanks with colored marker

I use a paint pen and put both my initials and my certifying agency's membership number.

I don't let my gear get out of sight and if anyone gets near my gear I club them with a dead fish.

Seriously, I only mark my Jet fins with a paint pen because there's usually several identical pairs on the boat.
