I use the Dive-Rite trim weights and attach them to the small rear D-rings of my BC with carabiners.

Crazy Fingers:
How do you assure it's in the middle? I have these huge stainless cam straps which are set up to be right in the middle!

I'm not sure what you mean so here's a picture. The pocket isn't on there but I've colored in yellow where I put my pocket. The tension from the camstrap on the tank keeps it there so it doesn't slide. It takes a few extra seconds to make sure it's centered but it's really pretty easy.

Don't get the quick release kind, get the kind you have to slide through the webbing. I had a friend whose quick release pocket fell off during a dive. Hope this clarafies things.

You can also just thread your cam band through the weight. Just shift your upper cam band over a little and put the weight about in the middle. of the tank. I have used 1# and 2# weights there with no problem. Be careful with weight pockets and small weights. I tried putting some 1# hard weights in my weight pockets once. They seemed to be in there securely enough but one of them managed to find its way out during a dive.
