cold doesn't bother the ibis...

Nobody cares about the ibis LB.:D

I couldn't post other images, the Sheep at my school do not dress appropriately for this forum :shakehead: it really is sad to see the lack of professionalism. There is no care as to a person's outward appearance.

Beautiful pics. I really like your work.
Thanks, I do to at times.. but mostly theres that one thing I just dont like about the pic, and that one thing can be the one thing I was happy with in the last one :p

The difference is dramatic I suppose.:D

These are from Prudhoe Bay.

Thats quite incredible, how deep would that snow be.? Really looks quite stark and bare in the winter pic.

Since you seem to like snow pix, these are from 2010. Here in central Ohio we do not get very many heavy snow falls, this was a pretty decent storm though.

Gizmo enjoyed it

Beautiful...........how on earth do you get your car out from under that and surely you cant drive in those conditions? I imagine you use lots of anti-freeze.:D

yes, and all of them is taken locally, with 0508 being the furthest away from my appartement but still only a 10 minute drive.

Nifty view. South Africa is on my wish list, I would very much like to visit one day. I don't know about diving with all the white sharks though.

The snow is really not that bad, brush off your car and go on. I actually enjoy driving when the roads are snow covered and I really like to roam the woods and hunt when snow is down and falling. It is very peaceful. Now I will say that as long as the other idiots are off the road, people around here seem to freak out if there are two flakes together and lose what little sense they had. If you take it slow and pay attention to your spacing and give yourself plenty of time to stop snow is not a problem at all. 4wd helps but is not an excuse to drive like you are invincible, I have always had a pick up or jeep with 4wd.

Great to hear, you would be made most welcome I am sure. Look me up, there is great diving to be had along both coast lines (East and West) the east has mostly nice warm water and an abundance of tropical type marine life, the west is very cold water (well, cold for us anyway..about 10 degrees cel :D) but has lots of wrecks and cold water marine animals, Fur seals are common for example.

Getting around is easy, hire cars are cheap and the roads are good, lots of small interesting towns to visit and some wonderful scenary, .......no anti freeze needed in the car.! :D
