I missed this thread last year. Some people would say I have a problem. I consider it a healthy obsession.
I am 100% guessing as I haven't really ever counted, but I would be in the range of 200 tanks. 50ish bank bottles, at least 6 compressors, and probably 8 boosters. I think I have 7 rebreathers, hundreds of regs, and two dive boats.
I started this stupid hobby because of a groupon. I got into it.

OMG. So how much was the Groupon?

I do this strictly as a hobby no professional interest whatsoever and this is what I’ve picked up so far in 6 years
I have
18 tanks
8 sets regs
2 bcd
4 shearwaters
4kegs sorb
Ccr
Suex Scooter
2 drysuits
3 undies
5 supply/bank. cylinders
Compressor
Booster
Endless little stuff reels lines bolt snaps analyzers
It’s been an expensive 6 years

Also like previous message, i do this only for hobby and for a fun. 14 years passed by, and now i have :
1 drysuit - old, but i like it
2 wetsuits (one children)
2 undies
2 DIY electric heating vests with canisters
2 BCDs (wing and child west)
2 DIY wings for different rebreathers
4 computers and 3 compasses
3 sets of fins
3 main lights (one DIY)
2 backup lights
4 regulator sets
12l steel twins
12l single tank
two assemblies of 2x7l/200bar metallocomposite with manifold
S80 alu with stage set
two 7l/200bar metallocomposite with stage sets
4l steel with stage set
a bunch of lesser capacity cylinders - 3-2-1 liters, total count over dozen
old sealed lead battery scooter - still running
DIY air compressor
three oxygen boosters - electric, pneumatic, and manual push-pull one
5 oxygen storage tanks of 40l each
somewhat near dozen of different old rebreathers, often paired to spare
a bunch of transfill whips
and huge hoard of spare parts, weights, reels, bolt snaps, and so on.

But for now, i choose to stop obtaining more gear

You have a picture,?
I have one as well, be interesting to see,
Man, if you want, i share a pic later, but presume that things are much different in Ontario and here in cold freakin' Russia :p
It's not a state of art DIY device, stationary, 3KWt 3-phase driven, based on 3-stage tank compressor head 40 lpm rated. A bunch of hand-made intercoolers added, huge oil tank (8 liters of compressor oil), and some filtering - oil/moisture separator, silicagel (dehumidifier) and coal filter - all taken from different devices.
But it cost me less than third of smallest portable compressor like Coltri MCH6.
