We will be there Feb 11 thru 19. I have been to Cozumel 1 time before. And yes I agree I am sure I will like the villablanca, Not planning to be at the hotel very much.

Ron, we went by Villablanca every day on our way from Hotel Cozumel to the Caletta, but I'm a really bad judge of distance. Is Villablanca to town walkable?
We stayed at the Caribe Blu 2 years ago and walked to town everyday. It took 15 to 20 min. Villablanca is just 3 or 4 min. more.

I was there in December and there is nothing left of where Ernesto's used to be. I am not sure if they have a new locatin or not.

does ernesto still have a fajita factory downtown on melgar? i didnt notice last time i was there because we went to the one across from casa.

So does anyone have an opinion of the restaunt at villablanca? Or does everyone eat at Papahogs restraunt next door?

I only seen the morning menu and ate off it once...Coffee was reasionably priced. Go next door to Hog Town and and have toast, eggs and coffee for $3.00.

The restraunt across the street from Villa Blanca is called Temptations. I have had a number of breakfasts, some dinners, and many beers and margaritas there. The atmosphere is really great, with open air seating overlooking the water, and friendly waiters and bartenders. Hopefully it is repaired. Photos of it looked pretty bad.
There is also a small bar and some seating next to the pool at Villa Blanca. The breakfasts and coffee were good and reasonably priced. Just don't sit next to the smoking mosquito coils...you will feel dizzy for the rest of the day!
I think that its a little too far to walk...especially after 4 or 5 dives in a day...you are asking for bubble trouble! The taxi ride is 4 dollars each way.

I saw it in person last month this time...I think it's going to be a while for it to be rebuilt.

Like I said before I have been to Cozumel 1 time before. Now saying thay I know the distance from Casa Del Mar to town, I am wandering the distance from The Hotel Villablanca to town and the distance from Casa Del Mar to villa blanca.
