I'm sure one could stock up at Chedraui and eat sandwiches and fruit out of the room a bit cheaper than the AI, I'm just saying the AI is cheaper and a lot more convenient than schlepping into town for every meal and snack. And the Hotel Coz buffet, as "average" as it may be, offers a lot more variety and convenience.

I agree eith RH on the A/I being convenient. By the time that you go into town at lunch and return to the hotel, you've lost atleast three hours daylight. You may be taking family with you and you may want to take them into town to split up your time and that's good, but I tarvel alone most times and I judge a trip by the number of dives I get for the dollar. That's one reason I'm hooked on Bonaire. Cheers!

The hotel is good to spend a week diving, just use the tunnel to get to Dive Paradise.

The buffet was adequate, not spectacular. It's value for money.

Have stayed there 4 times and we really enjoy it. They have a new chef this year and the food was excellent. Enjoy!

Look, you'll love Hotel Cozumel. Are your a diver? If so, this resort, just like so many others, will fit the bill for you perfectly. In may experience, even the so called 5 star resorts are not the same five stars as in other destinations. Again, if you are a diver, you will love it. If you are a tourist who happens to dive, you can find better resorts at other destinations but you won't have the same diving experience. Have some great dives, sit in the bar after your wonderful dives and dring a beer, or soda, and have fun talking about how how fantasitc you dives were!
