They can only sell RB80s to people who have gone through Tech 2 and take the rebreather class.

Lamont, I dont think thats accurate. I have friends that are GUE trained and went from DIR-F to RB-1 and others who are Tech-1 and RB-1. SO I dont think you need Tech-2.

You want me to believe the notion that if I don't accept your premise it's because I just don't get it, again, I'm not sold.
Yet you prove it to be true with every post you make (that mentions DIR). But, believe whatever you want. It is a free world and it doesn't really matter to me what your thoughts and feelings are about DIR.

www.gue.com lists Tech-1 as a requirement for RB-1, and I thought they were increasing the standard to require Tech-2.

"Must be GUE DIR Fundamentals and GUE Tech 1 qualified or equivalent"

Maybe thats it. of the 4 people that I know that took the class they were all tech qualified before. Then 2 of them went on to take Tech-1. But yeah they did DIR-F (the "workshop") then RB-1. I cant imagine the hardship...but you can read about it...

When Gary and others did the RB80 training, the requirements were different.According to folks I know who have done the training in the last 6 months, the requirement is tech 2...
