Stick with the light weight STA, it keeps your kit neat and together. If you are truly wanting to move to a "hogarthian" set up, then skip the weight pockets altogether. Especially on your shoulders.

You can add some trim weights on the top cam strap for more balance when traveling. But honestly, best not to relay on weights to get you balanced. That's training.
before I went dry I put my weight on my cambands just like he is saying. YMMV
 
I am not trying to be "Hogarthian" per se and am not interested in tech or cave diving. The system is appealing to me, as I like minimal, reliable, adjustable much better than an overly padded, hard to travel with BCD that doesn't securely fit a tank and occasionally accidently drops integrated weights. It isn't easy trying to figure out how the system works just from the Internet, but I believe it will be easier and simpler after the initial learning curve.

Tech.. Rec... doesnt matter. Your diving backplate and wing vs vest. Here is a video that might be of help. Maybe not. Ben does a great job.

Not to derail the OP question. But, I dont move weights around to make up for bad posture. I keep most of my weight center mass (via, tanks, BP, V-weight depending on the kit). But I dont add ankle weights, trim weights, trail weights, etc., to "fix" my trim. I dont move tanks around, or shift weights, or put weights on my shoulders to fix a trim issue.

In the course of a year I'll go from a rash guard and a single alum 80 or single 100 (for beach dives) to a wet suit with single or double alum 80's to dry suit and, again, Alum 80s or 104's, but the location of my weight never changes (I may add a weight belt).

Well, you have an unusual body type, it would seem. I suppose it doesn't make any difference whether your fins are heavy or light?
 
IST Donut wing, says for single tank use only, no slots, piranha says I don't need an adapter.
If it has no slots, you need an STA.

I normally use jets, but I've also used long fins with scuba. Just need to adjust how I hold my legs.

My exposure runs the gambit, from rash guard/board shorts, to 3 mil shorty, 5 mil full suit, 7 mil one piece with hood, to dry. Its not body type.

My dive buddy and I are completely different "body types" yet, we both dive the same way, weight is not used to adjust trim, just to get us underwater.
