FYI- if you need a good tech and don't mind shipping the reg off, these guys are one of the biggest reg repair shops on the east coast and do a lot of the work for smaller dive ops. They are first rate and really do care about the customer. If I did not do my own, this is who would get my work.
AirTech Scuba Services: Your life support equipment is our priority.

Let a friend borrow it and found it in the rinse tank with dust cover off! Since then...first breath....slow leak! Have had it serviced 3 times. No improvement.

well the first mistake was letting a friend borrow your best regulator.

The last time a friend called and asked to borrow mine (to find something dropped in a marina), I told him I would gladly pay the $15 bucks for him to rent one so that he didn't use my regulator, especially in a marina that often boats dump sewage overboard.

As for getting it rebuilt correctly, where in Alabama are you?

I'd send it to Dive Sports in Alabama. you might even be close to them. They know Aqualungs regs well and I bet they can fix that leak. You might be close enough to drive over to them and see it tested on their breathing machine before picking up. that way you know it's fixed.

BTW>.. I've heard good things about the AirTech Service listed above also. but reccomened Dive Sports because they might be more local to you and you can verify it works while there.
