Thanks. It's a tribute to being called a bunch of big meanies on Wikipedia. :rofl3:

that's impressive you made it into Wikipedia? :dropmouth:

Yes, but there is always a crisis somewhere. Most just don't realize until it impacts them directly. It does bring about a certain appreciation for what you have tho.

yeah we are getting a dose of that bigtime here with the fires... poor liv was on the verge of being evacuated.. some our members have been hit hard losing loved ones and properties

That's for sure, as do other things.

hmm that isn't good news.. this financial thing is hitting so many people

With more yet to come I'm afraid. One of the downfalls of American people is they always feel there is someone there to bail them out. No one wants to take personal responsibility for their own situation, yet they expect the government to be responsible. :shakehead:

oh... tiggrr I was hoping you'd check in :hugs:

I read your article on DIR ... I found it interesting and informative.

Like most things to do with scuba I like the knowledge, not necessarily the badge.

Fundies sounds like it would be extremely difficult.

The Americans aren't the only ones...we're just as guilty of that here.

yep the same the world over... but I am amazed at how the Aussies dig into their pockets to help in emergencies... people who were fighting floods in Queensland donating money to the people being burned out in Victoria... amazing..
