Anybody know anything about High Tide drysuits? My LDS recommended them highly. They're compressed neoprene, and there's several different fabric options. A custom fit ranges from $1200 - $2000 with full underwear and hanger, etc. Anybody know the differences in the materials?
Thanks,
Brett

For that money you can get DUI.

Never heard of them. I dive a DUI TLS350. It is made of tri-laminate material and is very flexible. My hubby dives a DUI FLX50/50 which has tri-lam on the top half and crushed neoprene on the bottom. He likes the way the bottom half fits a bit tighter. Either way, I would go with a DUI suit over a lesser known brand. You can get a DUI TLS350 stock suit for close to $1000.

Where does one get a DUI TLS350 for $1000? The DUI website lists them as costing $1700.

High Tide suits are very well known in the Puget Sound area. Every suit is custom-built, and the customer service is impeccable.

It's a "Lexus" if you're in the market for a neoprene suit ... expensive and worth every penny of it. I personally know many people who own them, and have yet to hear a single complaint about the suit ... which is unusual in the drysuit industry.

I'm wondering where you can find them for the prices you quoted.

I have to say, I have just bought a high tide suit. A pro model to be exact. They are the best. I would put High Tides against any..ANY..neoprene suit out there. I have spoke with the owner several times, and even toured his operation. I have no doubt they are the best, period. There are so many factors in making dry suits, and high tide addresses them all. If you want any info on them, I'd be happy to help. By the way, they are not compressed, but there are 4 different grades of neoprene that he uses. My suit is rated to 430 feet, not that i'm going that deep, but its kick *** for wear.

I am glad to hear that you are happy with your DUI, but really, you have no idea how much better these suits are to anything on the market. For example, each suit is custom measured, and cut. Boot sizes are the same as your shoes. If you use a "bag" suit, the learning curve is soo much steeper. There are no issues with these suits.
