I'm considering putting a 40" miflex hose with a 360° swivel on my Legend so that I may route the hose under my arm versus over my shoulder. I've always been a fan of the hose routing of the Sherwood Maximus. However, my main consideration is the hose/swivel combination restricting the performance of a high performance regulator. I would appreciate any input from people using a similar configuration with a similar regulator. Thanks.

Here's another thought. Use a 5 ft MiFlex hose without the swivel. It will route under your arm across your chest and around the back of your neck with little or no pull on the reg.

The MiFlex hoses are so light and flexible that you do not even know they are there.

Yep, what Claymore said, try a 5ft or 7ft and see what you like better, milflex hoses are fantastic and you will not need a swivel.

Unless you are going really really deep or doing some marathon swimming you will not be able to tell the difference in preformance of the reg unless the swivel has a tiny opening in it. Flow losses due to restrictions in the hose are minimal as well. I would be more concerned about the possibility of O ring failure than loss of preformance.
