Yet another newbie......
Let me clarify one thing, I'm not a doctor.
Frankenmule is my Rock Buggy (68 Jeep CJ5) that I built. Mule was taken (my CB handle), so in my customary "winging it" fassion I came up with that. I'm into rock crawling in Frankey.

I got certified by SSI in 86 and actually started diving again in 99. Go figure. I am finishing my AOW from PADI the last week of February.

My most memorable dive so far is Hal Wat's 40 Fathom Grotto. That's where I got my Deep Dive done (130') for my AOW card. It was pitch black, I was slightly narked (Just a bit happy) flashlight in hand and sitting on an upside down 60s Buick car. I figured I would freak dropping into the darkness, but it was actually kinda cool. I highly reccomend it.

Most of my dives are done in the Gulf off the coast of Sarasota FL. M7 & M8 are my favorite dives so far (if you know the area). I've dove in Colorado, Nassau and Florida (fresh and salt).

In Hal's words, Plan your dive and dive your plan.

Thanks,
I really enjoyed the Grotto, I even got to meet Hal. Very nice guy. I figured he was in his early to mid 60s, talk about being in shape and taking very good care of himself. He cracked off a joke on my sister in law. She asked him how old he was and he said he was alreaady married. It was nice to see someone with that much noteriety having a cincere and personable attitude.
I never knew where that saying came from till I visited the Grotto either. Peretty cool. It is definately worth the effort to find an instructor that can go there.

Dr. Frankenmule:
In Hal's words, Plan your dive and dive your plan.
Then - stay prepared for a number of adjustments as indicatred by the surprises!!

OUCH, just make me feel bad. It's going to snow here tomorrow. I sooo want to move to Florida. :)
I'm heading to Blue Hole the end of Feb to do some cert dives. Maybe I'll get a bit warm. :thinkingo
Have fun, dive safe.

I too am new to this board. Usually dive off Long Island, NY, but not again until abt end of April. So.... went to FL in Dec, got two dives on Speigel Grove, then went back last week (just got home Sat nignt) did Speigel Grove again (3 dives), got blown out of Duane :( Then went up to Crystal Springs did little snorkeling w/Manatees and then dove in a "cavern/cave" 50ft down/50ft in and it dead ended. I didn't venture in as I felt I was not equipped properly for overhead enviorn. Then the end of week, did reefs off Boyntan Bch and Del Ray on east coast. Good week. In wk and 1/2, doing cruise and will hit St Thomas, and Tortola and somewhere else. Then back to FL for Easter and the following week its Bonaire. Will keep y'all posted

ok, how do i get into your lifestyle?

oh... and welcome to the board :bounce:

Hello, I am new to the site as well but everyone seems to be EXTREMELY friendly and there is a weatlh of knowledge here!!

I'm all fot that too, I want to go dive that much. I get to go to Florida once a year for a week and a half. The only reason I've seen the Bahamas was my sister got married and paid for the cruise (yeah I know, spoiled thing). I finally found someone in Colorado to dive with, so I'll be more active up here. I'm really thinking of getting in with a Rescue Diving group up here if I can.

Yeah, everyone seems pretty friendly here. I guess that's because we all share the same "Fun" activity. If it had anything to do with work, I bet we would be a bunch of grumps....... How can you stare a fish in the face and not crack a grin.
