Hi,

Just bought a Suunto GEKKO for my partner/buddy, this unit is fitted with a plastic scratch guard.... it also has a spare in the box.

Problem is I can't seem to figure out how to remove it without breaking the little plastic lugs (4 in total) holding it in place. Any help info would be appreciated. Nothing about this in the manual!

Thanks

Dirk

It's a bit of a nail biter, but if it's anything like the Cobra faceguard, it should just pop off. Best part is if you *do* break it, they're only a few dollars or pounds to replace. SimplyScuba in the UK will probably have them as well.

But if you're removing it, it's because it's scratched and trashed anyway, right? No need to replace them after the first scratch - light scratches become almost invisible underwater.
