Am I the only Dive Rite diver with a weight belt?

No. I've got one and used one in Cozumel. You should have seen me a couple of weekends ago, walking out of the water at Martha's Quarry: The weightbelt kept slipping lower and lower, until it was around my thighs... I nearly fell and busted my azz. LMAO

I'm thinking that maybe weight pockets are most likely my best option. LOL

I have the Trans-Pac and use the 16 pound (total) weight pockets. I am running out of room on my waist strap, so maybe it's time to look at a new way to rig the pockets. Hmmmmmm, this could be interesting.

Read post #19 again...
Thanks Ben. That's the post that inspired me to go home and play with my bc. My wife will think I've gone totally out of my mind, but what's new?

I would highly suggest you use the stainless steal keepers, they work well. Teally helps keep it all from sliding around and shifting on ya. Have any questions just post here or pm me.

I hate the newer Transweight pocket design, those are very similar to the ACB pockets but oriented diferent.
IMO, the older design is better, the weight droped from the bottom and no pouch is lost in case you drop the weight, also the retention system is better and can be used in any BP or soft pack without any sliping.
DR just took a step back in a very well though previous design.

Here's a pic of the retention system of last generation pockets

Nope. I have a TransPlate, and use the XS Scuba pocket weight belt. Great combo. :)

Thanks Ben for the pics and the idea. I hadn't thought of using weight keepers between the weight pocket and the metal plate. It works okay without the weight keepers, but I'll give your way a try.
