I picked up a couple tanks and after some research I can't seem to figure out what they are.

They are both Faber but other than that I don't know what they are.

Here is the second one. This one he brought over from Norway. So the markings are even more different.

This marking leads me to believe that it's a 15 L tank.

Height/diameter are needed to determine the size.
The blue one isn't a us market tank ether way. Likely has a m25(?) valve thread.

Ill grab measurements. But yeah. I'm guessing it is since there is an m25 marking. Does that matter?

White
Diameter - 8.5inch
Height - about 24.5 I can't get a great measurement with the valve on and I don't want to let the air out.

Blue
Diameter - 8.2inch
Height - about 24, maybe a little more. Like 24.5.

Unless you have your own compressor you're unlikely to get them serviced or filled here in the US. I have an old HP aluminum 100 with an M25 H valve that sits in the corner of shame. Every time I move it I wonder why it hasn't been taken to the recycling center yet...

That is really too bad. I wonder why they don't want to fill it. The guy I got it from was on the local dive rescue team for a while but I don't know if he filled it here or just used the white tank. The white tank used to be owned by the dive shop owner (before he was the dive shop owner). So I'm sure he knows more about it.

The blue cylinder:

CE: Certification Examination for conformity with European Union standards
1370: Organiztion code for the CE
UT: not sure what this stands for but probably something along the lines of ultimate thickness
5.3mm: Nominal wall thickness of the tank
M25x2: Cylinder neck thread size
EN 144: EU specification for the cylinder neck and what type of valve should be fitted
EN 1964-1: EU specification for the design and construction of transportable and refillable gas cylinders
I: Italy, country of origin/manufacture
Faber: Manufacturer
10/0890/162: Batch/Serial number

17.5kg: Cylinder weight when empty
V15.0L: Volume of cylinder = 15 liters
PS232 at 15c: Cyinder service pressure = 232bar at ambient temperature of 15 degrees centigrade
PT372bar: Cylinder test pressure = 372bar
TS -50+65c: Service temperature (temp range for the cylinder) -50 centigrade to +65 centigrade
2010/05: Manufactured (first hydrostatic test date) May, 2010

You will likely not be able to get this tank filled in the US at a commercial fill facility (dive shop), and technically it is not legal to transport this tank when pressurize on US roadways as it does not conform to US DOT regulations.

I was wondering about that. Not having the DOT stamp got me thinking. I was hoping there was some sort of reciprocity or something. Oddly enough it does have a vis sticker from the dive shop, but no stamp for an updated hydro.

I wonder of a shop would hydro it since it has no DOT stamp??
