It’s in print that “Before Atomic Aquatics there was no best in scuba diving.”

Is the " Regulator Checklist pinned in this forum " you mentioned, in this chat or to be found elsewhere in Scubaboard? If you have it very handy, feel free to email it. Thanks in advance.I'd buy the newly serviced ScubaPro regulators. Servicing the Atomics is going to exceed the price difference and then some. Buy yourself an IP gauge at the same time and find the Regulator Checklist pinned in this forum. It will help you determine when you need to service your regulators again, which could well be a few years from now if you take good care of your gear.
There is not much tangible difference between the two sets in terms of quality to function. Both are great, and the option to seal the Atomics is likely not worth the effort. Unless you are beach diving every week of the year or diving in sub-zero temperatures I would not bother. (I do beach dive every week and use a sealed Mk17 and DS4 as a result)

I have seen the Conshelf pins sheared also. Though it was long, long ago, it was enough to put me into piston regs (Mark V type) for a little while. But, I have chilled on it, though I still prefer piston, oddly of my three current go to regulators, two are diaphragm (Mark 11 and Mark 17 Evo) and one is piston (Mark 2 Evo). As long as air reliably comes out of them when I want some I guess I am okay with either piston or diaphragm. Though that little pin in the Conshelf bothers me to this day. And I used those or that type first for years into recent times without worry and would still.Early US Divers Conshelf XIV failing when we were given them in the Navy , a pin that sheered off if I remember right, put me off them for a long time.
We were using these for years before the XIV.View attachment 743778
Same as you, My go to regulators are Mk19, Mk17 with the Mk25 or Mk2 in reserve.ddly of my three current go to regulators, two are diaphragm (Mark 11 and Mark 17 Evo) and one is piston (Mark 2 Evo).
