Hey.
How's it goin'?
I'm a 24 year old wanabee diver from Ireland. I've done two dives in my life, one aged 13, the other aged 19. I'm planning on going to Dahab this September with a friend who has never dived to get the first of many qualifications.
I really loved the two discover scuba dives, so I've no doubt but that I'll love Dahab. The main reason I've not gone diving that much before is my cousin (Martin Gara) used to live and work out in Dahab, but sadly like so many lost his life to the Blue Hole around 1997/1998. There is apparently a memorial stone to himself and his friend (Conor O'Regan if memory serves me right) overlooking the blue hole for those of you familiar with the site. Naturally my parents were not to enthused by the idea of me following in his footsteps.
I've just started out life as a barrister, having done a Business and Law undergrad, followed by my professional qualifications. It is probably the greatest job ever. Outside of work, I do Taekwon-Do and have been training for 10 years. I got my black belt in 2005, but don't let that fool you. I really enjoy mountain climbing and the outdoor life in general. I also play guitar (badly).
