If Felix regains Category 5 winds before striking land, it would be the first time in recorded history that two such killer storms have made landfall in the same season, hurricane specialist Jamie Rhome said in Miami.

It did regain Cat-5, and depending on whom you quote...?

Hurricane Dean struck Mexico two weeks ago as a Category 5 storm, and Felix's landfall marked the first time that two Category 5 hurricanes have hit land in a season since 1886, according to the U.S. National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration. Only 31 such storms have been recorded in the Atlantic, including eight in the last five seasons.

Even that story contradicted itself on whether this has happened before or not.

Gonna be rough times for the local survivors, still - no crops left in the Path of Dean or Felix.
