I just finished up 3 days of diving in Venice on the Aristakat. Since I live in Maryland and can only take so much cold quarry diving, I try to come down to Venice at least once a year. This year was special because I completed my advanced certification about a month ago. This allowed me to tag along on a dive to the Pegasus and Boxcar rubble. It was a great dive with tremendous viz (about 40 - 50 feet). The next 2 days were fossil dives. I found my first horse tooth, 2 nice 3 inch megs and a cool 5 inch with both edges of the root taken off isometrically.

I believe I have seen some posts on here that the large teeth with the root edges taken off on both sides may have been done by the early indigenous people of the area as either spear heads or tools to scrape hides.

Thanks to Captain Jamie and the other divers I got to spend some time with over the past few days.
