Exactly. Snorkels should not exceed 12 - 14 inches. This one is 19 inches. That's over 35% longer than it should be.

But Walter, that max length is based on minimizing the amout of co2 the diver re-breathes. The double hose design prevents this, so they can make it as long as they want. [/sarcasm]

Ooh, ooh, ohh...Rebreather Snorkle!

That's essentially what it is - without the scrubber. CO2 is really good for you.

CO2 is really good for you.

Just in time for April Fool's Day...

CO2 is organic! It's a low-calorie, no-carb, fat-free gas! It's low-sodium and has ZERO grams of trans fats! And think of all the greenhouse gasses that will be removed from the atmosphere!

The marketer in me is starting to salivate just thinking about the possibilities here...

:D

And CO2 headaches are amazing. There's also something to be said for passing out while snorkeling.

Are you allowed to wear your snorkel on the forehead (SOF) ?

What about a "split snorkel" which allows you to breath faster than a regular snorkle?

Or a "Snorkle2" which is a combination snorkle/BCD inflator?

Or a what about carrying a little tiny "Spare Snork" which would let you get one last breath before you die...

They have one. Look again.

You'll pass out before you realize you need it.
