Great shot of the infamous KY Piranha. Thanks for sharing it.

one that tried several times to rip my ear off!! I wonder if its legal to go spearfishing for blue gill:wink:

Yes it is legal to spearfish for blue gill. However you need a special barb at the tip so you don't blow the little critter in half.
You can call Frankfort's office for a complete list of legal fish to spear for in Ky.

Isn't blowing the little critter in half the point!!!!:D

would be my plan not to blow the little critter in half but to keep it reasonably intact and exact my revenge after a quick trip through the skillet:wink:

I ran into a woman at a local fishing site one day who was catching and keeping the smallest blue gill that could get there mouth on the hook. I asked her why she was keeping such small ones because you could never get the bones out of them. She said she put them in a blender and made fish cakes out of them.

She said she put them in a blender and made fish cakes out of them.

 For some reason, that just makes me queasy. I've blended up fish to make fish food out of before, but...

It didn't sound to good to me either, but, she seemed to like it because she was there every time I went.
