I dive a jacket. Can you explain this?

I hate jackets for alot of reasons and would never dive one again (just my preference, dive whatever you want) - but on the issue you brought up (about my refernce to quick releases):

BP setup feature one piece of harness - jackets and DR transpacks have qucik releases (plastic snaps) that hold the jacket toghter and can be failure points. In fact on my first dive with my old tp I snapped a quick release (DR, BTW, was very good about replacing it). For me, if I'm diving shallow, it's not the end of the world, but, for deeper diving I don't want my bc held on with plastic snaps.

That's just me though.
