has anyone done an IDC in Malaysia?

I'm finding it hard to find details on the dive schools there from here in Paris.

I'm looking for a good school to do a divemaster and IDC in October

I'd also be interested in Indonesia, but I'm worried about the cost there.

suggest you try the PADI website shows the few IDC's available in Malaysia. note that the east coast islands e.g. Tioman, Perhentian are close to closing for the season in Oct. east malaysia (borneo island) are open.

if your timing is flexible, i'd suggest giving JC Chappuis a call. he's at http://www.divetioman.com/ . he does the types of diving that he teach, and as an instructor, i felt i got my money's worth form him hence a good person to learn from. he's not a PADI CD, though he is an IANTD IT.

It's no problem at all to do a really good DM course and IDC in Malaysia. A good place is Tioman Island. Check out the B&J Diving Centre on www.divetioman.com

Actually JC Chappuis is both IANTD and PADI (and DAN as well I believe). He's a great instructor.

don't know. haven't 'gone pro'. might be ben or mark. IE is done elsewhere, i think.

We'll have to wait for Martin to get back here - he posted that it was possible - so we'll see!! (Checked their site and JC is listed as a Padi Master Instructor - Full IANTD & DAN)
