I have a pelican Sabre light - it makes a great flashlight for around the house. For diving I have a pair of Photon Torpedos - one with an LED upgrade. All I can say it that they work every time on time. The LED upgrade turns your back-up light into a light that can be used as a primary on non-penetration open water night dives. I know this as I used mine for that recently (after my HID #### the bed on the first dive). I can't say enough good things about the construction quality of Chuck's lights. The only way I'd consider any other back-up light would be for him to come out with a 2 cell version.

I pulled the plug (batteries) at 137 hours (5 days, 17 hours) to take the comparison photos shown in this thread. It was still bright enough to check gauges. Of course it WASN'T bright enough to follow a guideline or for signalling.

I just got my new PT LED light, and it is very nice. Great quality light, well built.. I am very impressed.
