I talked to Ed Hayes, a GUE instructor today and he said that he would be open to having a Fundies class in Michigan as long as I can find 3 or more people to take the class. We would obviously be responsible for paying his expenses, but it would be much cheeper than paying for our travel and hotel rooms to CT. If you are interested, please shoot me a PM as soon as possible so that we can get the class booked.

Thank you.

John

Where are we going to have it? SE michigan? Gilboa? White Star? That would be more centrally located.

Shouldn't you post this in the Great Lakes diving forum?

I'm kind of waiting to see who wants to do the class and then we will choose the most convenient location for everyone. Are you interested? I will start a post over there too and see what kind of response we get.

Ed Gabe was going to do a class this spring, but with the 4 day committment and driving, I passed on it. Certainly if it can be done in MI or some where nearby, I can get 4 days off.

Yeah, I'm in the same boat...that's why I decided to try to set something up. If you know of any one interested, that would be awesome...the more people we can get, the less expenses we will have to split.

I would think Gilboa or White Star quarry would be a good place to base from. Perhaps then we'll get more people interested. To say somewhere in Michigan is a little too vague.

I'm just trying to see who out there is interested...if you would like to know the details of the cost involved, shoot me a pm

Don't forget, you need somewhere where you can get nitrox fills between dives (unless you are using doubles big enough to do the whole day).

Yeah, that is why I'd prefer to do it at Gilboa...I would be more than happy to camp there, but not every one is up for that
