If I bring stuff can you perhaps give a girl a hand? I have absolutely no clue what these things are/look like or do. I haven't had a chance to check out the other thread yet.

had to buy 2 packs of 3... have a pair left. I'll bring s-hooks, meet you a little early, and we'll make 'em in the bk parking lot.

Eh... right now I'm just basically looking to get my hands on the springs so I don't have to actually plan ahead. I might end up getting new fins soon so if I decide on that I'm not going to bother making springstraps for fins that are destined for the ever building pile 'o old gear...

If we can get all the parts together, I'd be happy to help you make a pair. I've only got one spring, the tubing, and nylon cord though, so you'll need to hunt down another spring from someone who's made them. Either that, or maybe you and Wacko could go in on a 3-pack. She wants to make some too.

You'll also need S hooks (or appropriate connectors) and some shrink tubing.

Where do you find the parts for this? Home Depot? Still haven't gone to the other thread, suppose I should so I can stop asking stupid questions that the answers reside on another thread...

These look like they might be the answer to my dilemma!

Thanks Matt! Luv ya babe!

I have enough to make 1 pair. Jeff: if you want one, or both, I'll give you dibs since you asked first... If you don't mind waiting and ordering some with others, etc... I'll make 'em for shellbird before the dive sat.

That being said... I'm going to get different fins. The quattros are ok, and will probably work fine, but I think I'm gonna switch to the jetfins. Not trying to influence you Jeff, but for the direction we seem to be heading.... the quattros are too long, the spring straps work ok... but my plastic nubs that the s-hooks go around are starting to wear and thus the hooks are not as secure as I would like them to be. Sooo... I see the benefits of the other mounting style, along with several other things I've read.... easier to frogkick, easier to do helicopter turns, etc.
