Well, made it back. Hit Bermuda 2 weeks ago. We were on a cruise, and with one hurricane down and another coming, our dives were cancelled. My brother in law, and his still at home can't come too pregnant wife with internet found Dive Bermuda out of Grotto Bay. Do, we rented scooters the night we got in, ready to dive the next morning.
That first night, we rode over to Horseshoe Bay, and spent a couple hours snorkeling in the dark. We saw lots of fishes, and even a nice lobster. Then, back on the scooters we go...
The next morning, it was a 5:30am departure to ride to the other end of the island. We connected with the guys at DB, and off we went.
The first dive was a wreck dive at the Niobe Corinthian, a former casino with a great story. Viz was around 60-80 feet, not bad after a hurricane. We saw a fair amount of fish, but the highlight was exploring the ship.
The second dive was out to some breakers off of north point. A shallow dive, no more than 30 feet, the air lasted and we were down for a while. I'm not sure I knew so many different fish existed...at times it seemed there was more fish than water. Viz was 3asily 100ft+. Great dive.
Really enjoyed my time on Bermuda. Next time, there will be a whole lot more diving.
