Thinking of last minute trip to Grand Cayman but Trying to decide if I should gamble with a nonrefundable ticket, it's a great price but worried about getting stuck in bad weather as this hurricane season is a doosey! Can't find a decent priced refundable ticket. Any opinions? GC is the best bargan I can find right now - $1,000.00 for air and package at sunset house for 5 days from sfo.

Get some travel insurance that will cover issues like that: https://www.travelex-insurance.com/Consumer/Welcome.htmx

It is generally much cheaper than getting a refundable ticket. Additionally, I have never had an experience where an airline even considered stranding me due to a weather related incident. If they cancel the flight, they will work to get you on the next, or the next, or the next...
